Play Tag Game with 2–4 players, chase friends across three levels, use bounce shortcuts and teleporters, and avoid being it when time runs out.
Tag Game, also known as Tag or Tag 2 3 4 Players, is a local multiplayer chase game from JetGames where two to four players share the same screen and try to avoid being the current tagger. One player is marked as “it,” and touching another character transfers that role instantly. Three platform-filled levels, bounce shortcuts, and teleporters give runners different ways to escape while the chaser looks for a faster route to the next target.
A match begins with one player carrying the tag. A white arrow above that character makes it easy to see who is currently “it.” The tagger needs to make direct contact with another character; as soon as that happens, the touched player becomes the new chaser.
This means nobody is eliminated after being caught. The chase simply changes direction. A player who was escaping a moment earlier may suddenly need to pursue everyone else.
The matches are timed, so the most important moment is the end of the round. When the timer expires, the player who is still tagged loses. As the final seconds approach, the tagger has a strong reason to take more aggressive routes while every runner tries to create as much distance as possible.
| Player | Controls | Actions |
|---|---|---|
| Player 1 | W / A / D | Jump, move left, and move right |
| Player 2 | Up / Left / Right Arrow Keys | Jump, move left, and move right |
| Player 3 | I / J / L | Jump, move left, and move right |
| Player 4 | T / F / H | Jump, move left, and move right |
These separate key groups allow all four players to share one keyboard without using the same movement controls.
Tag Game includes three different levels rather than one fixed arena. Other published versions identify the themes as forest, desert, and taiga or snowy environments. Each level changes the arrangement of platforms and interactive objects, so escape routes that work in one map may not exist in another.
Learning the layout is especially useful when you are being chased. Instead of reacting only to the player behind you, you can move toward an area where you already know a shortcut, vertical route, or teleporter is available.
Some sections of the maps contain shortcuts that can launch a player upward or provide a faster route across the arena. Poki specifically describes bounce-based shortcuts that can send you up and away from the chaser.
These shortcuts are useful for both roles. A runner can use one to create vertical distance, while a tagger can use the same route to intercept somebody who expects to be safe on a higher platform.
Do not automatically take every bounce path you see. If the chaser is already waiting near the landing point, a shortcut can carry you directly into them.
Teleporters provide another escape option. In the version documented by Poki, the teleport can only be used once before disappearing, so it is more valuable than an ordinary route.
If you are being chased closely, a teleport can instantly force the tagger to find another path. Using it when nobody is near you provides much less benefit because you spend the map's strongest escape tool without solving an immediate problem.
The chaser also needs to remember where the teleport leads. Instead of following blindly, look for another route toward the destination and try to intercept the runner after they appear.
Being “it” changes the objective immediately. You no longer need to maximize distance from the other characters; you need to close that distance and touch somebody as quickly as possible.
If a runner is already ahead of you, copying every jump may keep you permanently behind. Look for a shorter platform route or a bounce shortcut that lets you meet them farther ahead.
A character near the edge of a platform section or away from a teleporter may be easier to catch than someone who has several possible routes available.
If the timer is nearly finished and you still have the tag, taking a risky shortcut can be worthwhile. Remaining “it” when time runs out is worse than attempting a difficult interception and missing.
Running into a dead-end platform gives the tagger fewer decisions to make. Whenever possible, stay near areas where you can continue in more than one direction.
Use jumps and bounce routes to move vertically. Constantly running along the same floor makes your future position easier for the tagger to predict.
If the teleporter disappears after one use, activate it when the chaser is close enough that the sudden repositioning creates a meaningful advantage.
The white arrow identifies the current tagger. After somebody else is tagged, immediately update your movement instead of continuing to run from a player who is no longer chasing you.
If you enjoy Tag Game because of its chasing, platform movement, local-style competition, and quick reactions, try these related games available on YaloGames. These URLs are confirmed in the YaloGames sitemap.
For another game focused mainly on movement and avoiding rivals, start with Stumble Race. If the unpredictable multiplayer-style chaos is what you enjoy most, Ragdoll Arena or Sausage Battle are useful alternatives.
JetGames created Tag. Poki also lists Wall Jumper and Stickman Bike among the developer's other games.
The game supports two, three, or four players locally on the same device.
Move your character into another player while you are “it.” The tag transfers to that character, and the white arrow moves above the new chaser.
Tag includes three different levels with platform layouts and environmental shortcuts that change how players chase and escape.
The player who is still “it” when the countdown finishes loses the round, so avoiding the tag becomes especially important during the final seconds.
Tag Game turns a familiar playground chase into a compact platform competition where routes matter as much as speed. Learn where the bounce shortcuts lead, save the teleporter for moments when you are under pressure, watch the white arrow whenever the tag changes, and avoid predictable paths when another player is chasing you. When you become “it,” stop following blindly and look for the route that lets you intercept another player before the timer reaches zero.
