Brake before the sharpest part of a corner instead of waiting until the car has already drifted too far toward the outside. Once the vehicle is pointed along the next section of road, accelerate again and recover your speed.
This becomes more important on later tracks, where higher difficulty leaves less room for late corrections.
Check several car lengths in front of your vehicle before moving. This matters when traffic is clustered together because the first open lane may contain another obstacle farther ahead.
Open road is where you can recover time safely. Once the car is aligned and traffic is not blocking the route, use full acceleration until the next bend or obstacle requires another decision.
If a corner repeatedly sends you off the road, begin slowing earlier. Correct preparation is faster than entering too quickly and making several emergency steering movements afterward.
If you keep losing on the same track, identify the specific corner or traffic section causing the problem. Changing your approach to that one area is more useful than trying to drive the entire course more aggressively.
When the finish is close and the timer is low, avoid an unnecessary risky overtake. A controlled route to the end can be better than attempting a narrow gap that might cause a collision.
